Pictorialism
Students created images inspired by the earliest artistic photographic movement--Pictorialism. Pictorialists used shutter speed, soft focus, tonality, brush strokes on plates, and even hand tinting to evoke dreamlike and imaginative images to be interpreted by the viewer.
